BP Future Frames: Euro-Mediterranean visions in Brussels

The Euro-Mediterranean identities, described by some of the most promising young international photographers, are at the heart of the award ceremony Blumm Prize Future Frames, the photography award promoted by Pomilio Blumm, which will take place on January 28th from 6 p.m. at the Italian Embassy in Brussels.

During the event the jury, composed of Pomilio Blumm president Franco Pomilio, curator Stefano Schirato and the photographers Chiara Spat and Chris Warde-Jones, will announce the winner who will be awarded with a 3000 Euros prize. A selection of the participants’ artworks – 20 by the winner, 5 by each one among the other four – will be exhibited in the exclusive setting of the embassy.

Called to express the concept of belonging, the participants of the first edition of the Blumm Prize Future Frames have “developed” this topic from different points of view: from the stories about solidarity in a Greece affected by the economic crisis (Dionisis Moschonas) to daily life within the Palestinian conflicts (Hadil al-Ramli), from the difficulties of being a clan member (Laetitia Vancon) to the strong bond between immigrants and their personal objects (Mazen Jannoun), to the special sense of community between scientists and astronauts at the European Space Agency (Veronika Lukasova).
